“I currently have the Eero Pro 6 installed. I have 2 of them and I want to upgrade and add 2 more Eero Pro 6E devices. Are these plug in and play with the Pro 6? I assume the Pro 6E is simply an upgrade over the Pro 6. Is that currect?”

yes they are fully backwards compatible and super easy to add to your existing system.

Please try again later.When the Tech installed my Eero Pro system he said I could add others if I needed to for better coverage just by plugging them in at desired location and add the location to your system to update it. I haven’t had to add any additional ones though, range and signal strength have been very good.

I wasn’t seeing the performance I was expecting so I contacted eero support. They recommended using only 2 receivers for the space. I did so and saw much better performance

The main thing the Pro 6E does is drop one of the 5ghz radios the Pro 6 has (it has 2 5ghz radios) and replace it with a 6 ghz radio. If you have devices that use wifi 6E (remember wifi 6 is 5ghz, wifi 6E uses the 6ghz band) the Pro 6E can provide a good speed boost. If you do not have any wifi 6E devices you probably won't notice much improvement, if any.
