Q: QuestionCan you open the door at any point in the cycle to add items?
Asked by Froggy.
- A:Answer Thank you for reaching out. For the Electrolux front-load washer, model ELFW7437AD, the answer is: yes, but only under certain conditions. You cannot freely open the door at any point in the cycle. Here’s the breakdown: Early in the cycle (before water is too hot or spinning begins): You can press the “Add Garment” button if your model has it, or open the door normally. The washer will temporarily unlock to allow adding items. Mid-cycle (when water is hot or the drum is spinning): The door locks automatically for safety to prevent flooding, injury, or damage. If the water is above a safe temperature or the drum is moving, the door will remain locked until it is safe to open. During the final spin: The door stays locked until the cycle ends and the water is fully drained. ~Ruth
