    Asked by rob.

    • Answer Hello Rob, thank you for your question. We do not manufacture any Z-Wave switches that can operate without a neutral wire, except for our 1000W incandescent dimmer switch. • QuestionWhen I install the switch it does not work. Wiring a standard switch the same way works fine. I have a ground and a hub. Is there anything that must be done before the switches work in manual mode?

    Asked by Gary.

    • Answer Maybe the airgap tab got pulled out. The airgap tab is a built in safety feature so you could disable anything connected to the switch (a light) instead of having to turn off the whole circuit (all of a bedroom). The tab is on the front bottom, to the left of the led.

  • QuestionDoes this work with a ceiling fan?

    Asked by Yo.

    • Answer Yes, for basic on and off. There is a version (was a version) for fans so it would help control the speed through the switch instead of the pull string.

  • QuestionDoes this product require a neutral wire? Also, does it require a hub?

    Asked by Carl.

    • Answer Yes this switch requires a neutral wire as well as a hub to control it. You can control the switch manually but then what's the point of purchasing a Z-Wave switch?
