QuestionIs the USB type c port a thunderbolt or not ? and in case it was a USB-type C thunderbolt 3 how many displays it can support ( is it 2 lanes or 4 lanes)??

- Answer 2 USB 3.0 type A and 1 USB 3.1 type C, all of which can be used for video via an adapter. This is an AMD based system, so there is no Thunderbolt 3 as that is a proprietary Intel technology.

QuestionThe feature picture indicates that the product is touch screen. Yet the specs says no, it is not. What gives?

- Answer That's a mistake. While I don't have any hard proof of the assertion,if it's convertible into a tablet configuration, chances are it has a touchscreen. Or it'd be a real boneheaded move on HP's part if they didn't. Besides, touch support is required for Windows Ink support and this machine comes with a pen in the box.

- Answer Thank you for your question. The RAM in this model is upgradeable to a max of 16gb. it should have 1x 8gb module in the slot.

QuestionHas anyone had experience with fan noise level when working on Adobe Creative Cloud or Microsoft Productivity software?. I have the Intel 8th Gen i7 13 Spectre. And the fan noise is just horrid.

- Answer Those programs do tend to be resource intensive, and the fan is kicking in to prevent the system from overheating. It shouldn't be a horrid sound level though ... if it sounds like it's been unseated, please check with HP Tech Support for assistance.

- Answer This laptop is advertised as supporting a pen, however I haven’t been able to get it to work. I purchased the Lynktec Active stylus, and it does not work with the HP computer. There’s rumors of a driver update which I have yet to try. Once I do, if it fixes the problem, I will update the review to reflect this. Thank you.

- Answer Running on high performance would take the battery life down quite a bit. Maybe 3 or so hours. If running light weight programs it could go upwards of 10+ hours.

- Answer As this does not support Thunberbolt3, a type C, Displayport to HDMI bridge type will be required. HP does not list compatible adapters yet. Per the service manual (take it with a gran of salt):. (1) USB Type-C port; USB 3.1 Gen 1 – supports HDMI v2.0b + HDCP2.2 up to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz through Type-C port using adapter – supports DP1.4 + HDCP2.2 up to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz through Type-C port using adapter – supports HP Sleep & Charge – supports power delivery 3.0 using USB Type-C adapter (65W/90W) – supports data transfer
