• Hello Stumpy. When using the Epson ScanSmart software with the ES-865, you can save a scanned file to editable Microsoft Office file formats using OCR (Optical Character Recognition). Once the file is saved on your computer, it can be transferred to a flash drive. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
