From using for about a week I've encountered an approximate warning alert close to 1-2 miles. Yes this does have an option to let u know where the red light cameras are at but you would need to have the escort live app on your android/iPhone device to determine that.

However if you simply do a Google search for the top radar detectors available, your search should yield multiple results of sites that have rated this product as well as others. Prior to me purchasing this particular radar, I read the reviews from quite a few of the sites and I did my best due diligence to ensure that the reviews were unbiased for any particular product. I do remember those websites and many of the reviews would list the range of detection for each product. This radar detector was by far the top ranked detector for the money. Lastly, this radar detector will pick up traffic cameras and I believe practically every sort of bandwiddth used today.

Califonia central area .high traffic 2 mile range my experience. 3.yes it notify you if a you are approaching a red light camera 4. Smart phone app help you and shows a map of other detectors signal where 1 was last spotted details as to time it was detected. (Bluetooth connectivity 5.it learns and stores x band locations to avoid false alarms.
