The only antitheft protection is that it can only be easily removed using a special tool (I don't want to explain how in this public forum). However, if someone really wants it, I am sure it could be torn off the wall. So, this would be a downside. I wish it had a tamper alarm like some of their cameras.

I am afraid that the Doorbell camera is not an Alarm system, it will not give off alarm if someone tries to get it off the wall. Try to find a good balance between easy installation/removement of the camera and fixing the camera, to be honest with you, the doorbell will be attached to the mounting bracket firmly, but it can be detached by useing the doorbell detaching pin provided.
