QuestionCan this connect to the homebase so video is not stored on the doorbell (which could be stolen) and stored on the homebase instead?

- Answer This doorbell CANNOT currently connect to the HomeBase station. Video is stored locally on the doorbell device itself. It cannot be stored on the HomeBase station. Customer service says that the capability has been discussed but no decision or timeline have been given.

- Answer No it doesn't. The other thing I didn't like about this wired system is that it bypasses your original chime box so that it doesn't work anymore. Supposedly, the battery operated system lets you use your original chime box at least that's what the Eufy Rep. said. So I'm switching mine out.

- Answer This version does NOT require a HomeBase to operate. It connects directly to your homes WiFi connection. All video records directly to the device itself. There are 32GB of storage on board. No monthly fees is a huge bonus!

- Answer Hi! Yes this new product from eufy Security does have night vision. It also has the 3-second pre-buffer. The 32GB of local storage also allows for continuous video recording. This is a brand new product from eufy Security and is available only at Best Buy.

- Answer Hi. This new 2K Wired Video Doorbell does not work with exisiting chimes, but it does come with very nice looking digital chime. This product is available only at Best Buy.

- Answer Eufy Is free. Meaning that you don't have a subscription fee. You have unlimited days of videos. If you want more cloud then you have to pay. But if you are ok with the amount of memory already available you don't have to pay a shiny dime.

- Answer Yes. For the Motion events, there is a download button that will download the video clip for that event to the phone. In Playback mode, you can "Record" the playback; once you stop recording, the clip for the recorded duration is saved to the phone.

- Answer As far as I know, the memory is not user upgradeable. I have been surprised by how much footage stores. 3-4 days of continuous recording on 32GB of RAM. They make one with memory in the chime? Or do you mean the Home Base? I like this one so the doorbell doesn't use memory in the home base. As you shop, I suggest only getting one with continuous recording. Then, it won't be dependent upon the motion sensor alone. .

QuestionIs there an option to disable the continuous recording and enable recording person/motion-triggered events only? Having this ability at 32GB would be a huge benefit.

- Answer Yes. You can choose to record just motion-triggered events. You can also set the zone and sensitivity of the motion detection and the video quality to reduce used storage space. We review our videos and delete them if not needed so space is not an issue. The continuous recording is a setting you have to turn on as it is not a default setting but an option.

- Answer When you set up the doorbell, the device can only be connected to one phone. But you can share the device with others, such as your family member. They just need to register an account on the Eufy security app. Then they can see the doorbell on their phone via the app. You can share the device with 5 accounts at most. QuestionI bought this, and hooked it up, but turns out at very end of the setup process my new home has 12VA for the doorbell and not 16VA as required. I am thinking of returning the unit, but before I do, is there an external adapter than can be used?
