How is the ring door bell wired? null

The hard-wired version uses the two wires from the existing button with a simple modification that is fully explained in the directions. The ringer unit plugs in anywhere in your house although this may be range limited by your wifi. The battery-operated version just mount at the door and connects through your wifi.
