A:AnswerYes you can choose cloud or micro-SD card storage, does not need both and does not require cloud. In fact it doesn’t require any storage at all. You can watch live on the app without storage and it’ll still alert you when there is motion you just can’t playback the video of that motion.
There is an option to record 24/7 however the default is to record only when motion is detected. This is easily switched in the camera settings on the app.
I’m not sure what the cloud storage is but it comes with a 30 day free trial when you set it up and I believe the option to pay for more storage space if needed.

It might even work without the WiFi you would just have to make sure you have the cloud or SD storage to watch playbacks. After that you have to either pay monthly/yearly for the online service. Money better spent on getting a memory card. You'll need a micro sd card. I'd recommend a 128 gb card so you have to change it out less often. They're about $30-$40 each. Search the Best Buy site for sku# 6346815. They usually come with an adapter you can plug into your computer to see whats on the memory card and transfer files. Or you can view them on your phone with the app.
