“Want to use this to track my Steps/miles as I golf. Many apps can do it if I am walking the entire round by GPS. Can this measure just the actual steps /distance that I am walking on the course. Not track my time/distance riding in the cart?? Thanks”

Activity trackers will pick up movement, not necessarily the type of movement. However, I'm not sure if this might be what you're looking for as it is made for kids.
