QuestionWill this unit work with 220? Can this unit be wall mounted? If not do I need to buy a sleeve and if so what size? Thank you.

- Answer Plug Type: LCDI 6-15P Watts (Cool): 1525/1500 Voltage Rating: 230V / 208V 60Hz Amps (Cool): 7.0/7.5 Power Cord Length: 5' (6') Horsepower (Cool): 2.05 Yes, 220 VAC is what it is designed for, not 120 VAC. Mine is wall mounted, no sleeve needed. Note that the wall may not be thicker than 8", or some of the louvers will be covered. I bought a heavy duty mount for mine, though it is not absolutely necessary.

QuestionI am going to have to replace my window unit Air Conditioner we have had it for a number of years it is a 220 unit I noticed that a lot of them anymore are 230 volt will 220 work ok or will I need to change to a 230 volts my plug in is for 220. Thanks

- Answer Because of the way the outer shell is made putting it in a wall would not look well...but, because the shell separates from the unit you could rig it so that it fits in a wall. you would just have something protruding from the bottom where it usually would sit on a window seal.

- Answer Best Buy installed it in a professional manner. I would do your homework though and be sure the plug type matches. For me, Best Buy also did a pre-check before the actual installation. You may want to look into that as part of the installation. I am really happy with my new air conditioner.

- Answer Cord is 5'. I use a 20a double pole but also run other items on that line. This unit pulls 7a constant but will spike above that upon startup.

In researching, we were able to see the recommended window dimensions are listed as follows: Height minimum 18-1/2" and Width minimum/maximum 28" / 40-1/2". - Answer Yes You will need to cut the hole and re frame for the unit. Might need to build a shelf to support the unit. Don't for get this is a 220V electrical requirement. Work should be done by a knowledgeable skilled person.
