Hello Frigidaire Friend! Your air conditioner is designed to install in standard double hung windows with opening widths of 23 to 36 inches. This accounts for installation hardware and window filler kit. We hope this information is of assistance. Feel free to reconnect with directly or via the Q&A forum on this website. –Kind Regards-
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The metal box housing the unit is indeed 19" wide. There are 2 plastic panels that can be placed on either side of the unit to fill the empty window space. As stated on the box, you need about 23" of space for both plastic panels. If you really want this air conditioner, you could have one edge of the air conditioner up against one edge of the window frame (use the foam strip provided for padding) and fill the small opening on other side with just one of the plastic panels. It wouldn't be perfect, but in theory it would work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it comes with sides that slides, you could adjusts
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Technically you could install it in that window but some of the brackets would be inside the window. It shouldn't be much of a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 19" is just the width of the conditioner cabinet itself. The filler panels would add more width, but they are optional. The rails for the filler panels fit into channels that are within the 19" cabinet. You can find the installation guide online which has pics of all this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No there's isn't any thing else on the edges, just the kit with the acordians on the sides but you don't have to use them.
