Hello, Hamish625. Thanks for your question. With proper maintenance and installation of our window air conditioners, we wouldn’t expect any mold concerns, as there are no known issues related to it. For further details about care and cleaning, please review page 7 of this model’s Use and Care Guide (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/frigidaire-150-sq-ft-window-mounted-mini-compact-air-conditioner-white/6403903.p?skuId=6403903). -Derrick
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't know about those tech details, but mold is exactly the reason I had to buy a new a/c. Learned that it needs to be wrapped in plastic when stored; especially if you're putting it in the basement. But I like your line of thinking....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you posting this mold concern!! I have had to replace my Frigidaire units every 2-3 years due to mold growth inside them, all of which have been properly installed at a tilt. None of them have been store in a basement. There is no way to effectively clean them, and no AC company provides this service. They are NOT priced to be disposable, and I hate to make his repeated mark in the town dump/on the planet! This repeat problem is responsible for Mold (Mycotoxin) Toxicity being added to my hellish chronic health problems. PLEASE do better!
