Mel, This one is specified as a window unit, so it's probably not a good idea to use in a through the wall case. The input/output vents for through the wall units are at the rear of the unit so you should use a unit specifically designed for that type of installation to avoid air flow and temperature issues. They are a bit more expensive and you have fewer choices, but on the plus side, you retain the full use of your windows.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That’s exactly how I am using it. I re-used the existing box and framed it in to seal the extra space around the unit. I made sure to keep the side vents open to circulate airflow of the condenser.
