Q: QuestionDoes it have a locking feature to keep the burners from being turned on accidentally?

• A:Answer Yes, there is a locking feature, and to turn the burners on, you have to first turn on the power, and then turn on the burner, so it's not easy to accidentally turn one on. Additionally, the burn will not heat unless it senses a pan on the burner. If you haven't had induction before, beware... only certain types of pots and pans will work on it as the stove has to have a magnetic contact to sense the pan and turn on.

Q: QuestionWould I be able to use a cast iron griddle on this cooktop? I assume I could place the griddle over two elements and turn them both on, but will that produce the same heating result that I've been able to get with my gas cooktop?
