Hi, Luis. Thanks for reaching out. Based on the details you provide it does appear the “popping” sound could be your defrost heater. During the defrost cycles, water dripping onto the defrost heater may cause a hissing or sizzling sound. After defrosting, a popping/crackling sound may occur. This is normal for a fully automatic defrost refrigerator/cooler. The defrost cycle occurs periodically, lasting about 30 minutes.
