I spent a long time shopping a wine cooler and ended up on this one. It was only when I got it home did I notice there was no solid divider between the 2 zones. I was curious how it could keep 2 different temperatures with open space between the 2 zones but figured maybe it was small enough it wouldn't matter. It also seemed strange that the Red wine is kept on the bottom and the white is kept on the top since heat rises and cold air sinks. Anyway, I have the top zone at 44 degrees and the bottom at 58 degrees. I put a thermometer in the bottom section and it is reading 48 degrees. So to answer your question, from what I see, this unit does not do a good job keeping both zones at their desired temperature!
