A:AnswerNO, it is compressor driven moving refrigerant. However it is not designed to be built in and needs lots of room or an auxiliary fan and some room around the unit.

A:AnswerYes you can transport it on its side. It is not recommended. I brought mine home that way. Just make sure the trip is not bumpy nor any hard turns. Get it upright as soon as you can and let it sit overnight (upright) before you plug it in.
A:AnswerHello, Jen.
Thanks for your inquiry.
For optimal performance, we recommend you install the wine cooler where the ambient temperature is between 70 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, allow space around the unit for good air circulation; leave a 2 inch space on the back and sides of the wine cooler for adequate circulation.
Hope this helps.

A:AnswerThis is a compressor unit. It is reasonably quiet and good looking. The problem I have with the cooler is that the temperature I’m looking for in the larger lower section has never reached 55 degrees. I’m going to give the unit some more time to reach the desired temperature and if it doesn’t I’ll be exercising the warranty plan I bought from Best Buy at purchase. Also, if you really want to store 38 bottles of standard sized red wine bottles, look for a larger unit.
