  • QuestionThe front panel and knobs are extremely hot when I use oven at 450 degrees. It is kind of dangerously hot. Is that normal?

    Asked by CHICAGO.

    • Answer I contacted BestBuy customer service online, and a technician is scheduled to come and inspect the oven. The customer service experience has been good so far. However, I’ve had Frigidaire gas ranges with oven for many years without any issues, and after comparing this new model to my previous one, I’ve noticed a significant decline in quality. 1. Insulation Strip: The insulation strip around the oven is much smaller and thinner than the one on my old model. It’s poorly insulated, which could affect performance. 2. Knobs: The knobs are now made of cheap plastic, whereas the previous ones were stainless steel, which felt more durable and high-quality. 3. Display Screen: The quality of the display screen has also deteriorated. There is no clock display when the oven is on, and the touch buttons are less responsive and feel less premium than before. Overall, I’m disappointed by the noticeable decline in quality. It seems like Frigidaire has compromised on materials and design, which is frustrating considering how well my previous models performed.

    Asked by ricky.

    • Answer Hi there, Ricky. Good day! The Frigidaire 30" Gas Range (model FCRG3052BS) features a broil element located inside the oven. This 1,400-watt broil element is mounted at the top of the oven cavity and utilizes six passes for even heat distribution during broiling operations. • QuestionWhen oven is on is there a loud noise? Another Frigidaire model does that.

    Asked by Moots.

    • Answer Hello, Moots. We appreciate your inquiry. Some noise and odors are normal on the first cooking cycle. Please note that an entry acceptance tone (1 beep) will sound each time a key is touched (the oven lock key is delayed by 3 seconds). An entry error tone (3 short beeps) will sound if the entry of the temperature or time is below the minimum or above the maximum settings for the feature. We hope this information helps! - Christi

  • QuestionDoes the sides of this stove get hot when the oven is on?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi there, our valued customer! Yes, the sides of a stove can get hot when the oven is on, especially when using high heat or cooking for extended periods. This is because the heat from the oven cavity can radiate outwards and warm surrounding surfaces, including the cooktop and sides of the stove.  -Chris

  • QuestionIf yall are going to send out ELECTRIC BROILERS on GAS ovens that needs to be listed in the specs. Was I sent the wrong item, model FCRG3052BSF, or do yall not know what you are selling? Calling was NOT helpful

    Asked by Jlvtx.

    • Answer Hi there, valued consumer! Your Frigidaire 30" Gas Range (model FCRG3052BS/FCRG3052BSF) is indeed a gas range with an electric broiler element—not a mistake or a mislabeled product. Often combine gas ovens with electric broilers to improve browning performance. If the listing or store copy failed to mention “electric broiler,” that’s an omission—but it’s not a shipping error. - Maico

  • QuestionThe grates on cooktop always make rattling sound when anyone walks past stove. The grates are positioned correctly. What can be done?

    Asked by vtrep.

    • Answer Thank you for your question. Cooktop grates are designed to rest securely in position, but because they are made of cast iron and are not mechanically fastened to the cooktop, slight vibration can sometimes cause a rattling sound — even when they are positioned correctly. - Jessica

  • QuestionDoes it have self cleaning feature?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Good day, valued consumer! The Frigidaire 5.1 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Range with Quick Boil Burner, based on the Frigidaire manual/specifications and verified retailer documentation: Self‑Cleaning Feature - This model does not have a self‑cleaning oven feature. - The oven cleaning method listed in the official specifications for this range is manual cleaning, meaning you must clean the oven interior by hand rather than using a self‑clean cycle. Confusion sometimes arises because other Frigidaire gas ranges do include self‑cleaning (or steam‑clean) options, but for this specific 5.1 cu ft gas range with Quick Boil burner, the manufacturer did not include a self‑clean cycle in the oven features. - Maico

  • QuestionWhat is the oven cleaning method in this model?

    Asked by ggma.

    • Answer Hi GGMA! According to the manual/specifications for the Frigidaire 5.1 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Range with Quick Boil Burner, the oven’s cleaning method is: - It has a “Steam Clean” cycle, a 30‑minute steam clean that’s chemical‑free and meant for light cleaning of the oven cavity. - It also supports a “Self‑Clean” (high‑heat) function depending on model variant, for deeper cleaning. - For routine/manual cleaning (when not using a self‑ or steam‑clean cycle), the manual recommends waiting until the oven is cool, then wiping the interior with hot, soapy water (or mild, non‑abrasive cleaner), and avoiding abrasive materials or harsh cleaners, especially on the porcelain surfaces. - Maico

  • QuestionWhat buttons EXACTLY resets the clock? I’ve been trying (and referred to my owners booklet on how to do it but nothing works

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi there, find the button marked “Set Clock” (or simply “Set Clock”) or sometimes it’s done via the TIMER/Clock key. For example: one manual says “Press Set Clock once (do not hold the key down). Within about 5 seconds, use the Up / Down arrow keys (or “+” / “–” keys) to adjust the hour and minutes until the correct time appears. Release the keys and the time is accepted after a few seconds (or pressing any other key may finalize it). Note: The clock cannot be changed when the oven is actively cooking. - Jessica

  • QuestionSo my stove still works but the oven doesn’t it don’t come on and the light is out when i open the door how do i fix it

    Asked by LadyTee.

    • Answer Here’s a helpful troubleshooting guide you can follow to try and fix your Frigidaire 5.1 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Range oven: Check Power Supply Make sure the range is plugged in securely. Check your home’s circuit breaker or fuse box to ensure the breaker hasn’t tripped. Inspect the Oven Light Bulb The oven light bulb might be burned out—replace it with a compatible appliance bulb (usually 40 watts, appliance-grade). To access the bulb, turn off the power, open the oven door, and remove the bulb cover inside the oven. Verify the Oven Igniter For gas ovens, the igniter lights the burner. If it’s faulty, the oven won’t heat. Listen for clicking sounds or watch for the igniter glowing when you turn the oven on. A weak or non-glowing igniter likely needs replacement. Check the Oven Control Settings Make sure you have set the oven to the correct mode (Bake, Broil, etc.) and temperature. Try resetting the oven by unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back in. Door Switch or Sensor Issue The oven light often depends on a door switch. If the light and oven don’t respond when the door opens, this switch might be faulty. Call for Service If these steps don’t fix the problem, it might be an issue with the control board, thermostat, or gas valve. - Jessica
