• Not designed for in wall mounting, you have to buy one that says that.

• Yes. We just replaced an old wall unit with this one. Everything went as planned after we shaved off some unnecessary screws protruding into the space we needed.

• I put mine through a cut out in the wall. I had to slightly modify the opening for it to fit properly. Biggest issue is the drain. Make sure it is clear of the house and drips properly. They really aren’t made to go through the wall but it can be done. Make sure you check the measurements of both cut out and AC. Try to get it as close as possible to just fitting. I’m not a professional and just letting you know how I did it.
