“It says the unit is 21.3” wide with doors closed, leading me to believe this includes the bracket. However it also says minimum window width of 24”. Our window is 22.25” so I am not sure if this will fit. Please help!”

The metal housing is about 21-1/2" wide and the plastic side frames add 1" each for a total width of 23-1/2" required and that would be extremely tight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I installed this unit in a 22' wide window by removing the sliding panels on both sides and filling in the remaining gaps on both sides and under with large foam pieces they sell at home depot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I saw that too and was a little confused. The unit is actually 15 3/4” tall by 21 3/4” wise. It should fit in your window, just might have to make some modifications on insulation around hnitbto stop hot air from outside getting in. Hope it helps
