“How much does the hinge/door stick out from the frame when opening? Is it more than an inch? We have a narrow opening and it will need to be 2” from the wall. I’m not concerned if it can’t quite get to 90 degree open, but want to make sure it will open.”

Hi Rose! Good question, clearance around the hinge and how wide the door swings matter a lot when you’re tight on space. If your opening has only 2‑inch side clearance from the wall on the hinge side, I would say this model is risky for smooth operation. It will probably open somewhat, but you may lose full swing and likely risk contact with the wall or door handle/door edge, hitting the wall. If you can allow maybe 3–4 inches or more from the wall on the hinge side, you’d have much better confidence. - Maico
