A:AnswerIt looks like the backup camera (BC30) will work with your GPs. Here's a link ot the list of compatible devices:

A:AnswerThe license plate frame probably won't get in the way. There is a bracket that can be slipped over your license plate, but it can also be screwed or stuck with double-sided tape to other parts of the car.
A:AnswerThe only way to steal the back up camera would be to gain access to the wired connection point in the truck which is highly unlikely. It could be vandalized but it would be of no value if not completely removed.
A:AnswerIt shouldn't take more than two hours. Be sure to watch all the videos that are on you-tube they are a big help. I had mine installed for me by a friend. He said the most difficult part was running the wire into the car: It was a caddy SRX. You'll love the camera, bright clear picture both day and night. Good luck.
A:AnswerGarmin lists which GPS units work with the BC30 back up camera, and the camera has a wire attached to it that you run into the trunk. The wire has a transceiver on it and the wire attaches to one of your reverse lights for power. This is a slick solution in that the camera only gets power when you shift into Reverse. There is no wire that needs to run from the GPS to the camera.
A:AnswerThe cable is aprox. 4 feet long. On my pickup, I had enough cable to mount the camera in the center of my license place and run the cable behind the bumper to the corner of the tailgate where I brought the wire under the gate and up the inside of the bed just behind the tail lights. Transmitter is mounted on the side of the bed just below the top side rail of the bed. Hope this helps.
A:Answeri believe it should work fine in an RV. Garmin sells an extension cable to move the sending antenna closer to the Drive Smart unit if a weak signal is an issue.
A:AnswerKent,
The transmitter is spec'd to broadcast 50 feet so using it on a pickup shouldn't be a problem. As for weatherproofing the connections, there are several sealants you can purchase at your local autocrats stores or most department stores that will make the connections water-tight. RV sealants are great for this type of issue.
Good luck!
