• A:Answer Because the camera is small (windshield obstruction) it only has a 30 minute stand-alone battery. It is powered by the vehicle 12 volt system. The power wire is long and easily hidden in the vehicle molding without much effort or removal.

Q: QuestionWith the wide angle view, is the resolution good enough to be able to read license plate numbers on a car at a safe distance ahead while traveling at highway speeds (65 or 70 mph)? I'm guessing if it is, it might require being able to zoom in to read it.
