- Answer all you do is plug the GPS provided cord into your unit and then into a computer, then use the software to download updated maps from the internet. it has nothing to do with your cell phone, nor does this unit have any live traffic updates

QuestionHow long does it take to charge the battery? I have tried charging it in my car (port) and on my computer as well, doesnt appear to charge. Unit does cut on and appears to be fine otherwise.

- Answer Normally it will take several hours to fully charge the battery. The GPS is designed to be plugged in at all times. Even if the device is fully charged, it may not last on battery power alone for very long and the battery icon could become low fairly quickly. - Answer Yes, this model will display the elevation and the coordinates of your location. You can view the elevation in one of the Trip Data fields on the map screen.

- Answer When a device won’t power on a soft reset often resolves the issue. Connect the device to a power source with a USB cable, vehicle power cable, or an AC adapter. Press and hold the power button for 10 to 15 seconds. Once the device powers on I would suggest fully charging the battery. Questionhi i drive a shuttle van for a car dealership at times I get 5./ 6 / 7 customers in my van all at once in morning at 7 30 to drop off, one by one , say first passenger 2miles away /then 2nd p 4 miles etc which garmin does routes???

- Answer Yes, this model includes the Trip Planner feature that can be used to create and save a trip with multiple stops. An Optimize Order feature is also included to manually have the device calculate the optimum order in which to travel to all the entered points.

- Answer The amount of free space on this device will vary based on the software and map versions that are pre-loaded. If additional space is required later for map updates, a micro SD card can be used to expand the memory. The Garmin DriveSmart™ series supports cards from 8 GB to 32 GB, with speed ratings up to class 10 (including unmarked cards).
