- Answer No, this model does not include any truck specific routing. The Garmin dēzl™ series includes detailed maps for North America that also include truck-related restrictions – like bridge heights, sharp curves, weight limits and more – and related information for most major roads and highways.

- Answer You can download Garmin Basecamp onto your laptop or compatible device. Basecamp will provide you with the opportunity to plan a route but seems a bit antiquated.

QuestionIs this a good alternative to waze? I use waze on my phone when driving so that I can be alerted with traffic cameras, police, road accidents and constructions. Waze also alerts me if I'm beyond the speed limit.

- Answer Sometimes there are more than one streets of the same name and it may be confusing. Give a basic destination and when you get there, be specific. I believe the city and county engineers and politicians that chose names are still in the third grade.

QuestionIf you get off your route, does it "recalculate" and get you back on it, or do you have to re-enter a new route? One of your reviews said it didn't. If I stop overnight at a motel during my trip, does it pick up my trip in the AM where it left off?

- Answer Yes, this device will recalculate the route when a turn is missed or if you choose to stray from the intended route. The device will display "Recalculating" at the top of the screen.

- Answer This device doesn't verbalize "recalculating" when a turn is missed; however, it will display "Recalculating" if a turn is missed or if you choose to stray from the intended route.
