QuestionI have a favorite route to mom's house which is relatively simple but 200 miles away. CAN 51LM put that favorite route into the Garmin. My current old model always picks a way to go that is in my opinion, more wandering and far more dangerous.

- Answer Yes, this device includes the Trip Planner feature that can be used to create and save a trip with multiple destinations. Or if you only want to “shape” a custom route to go the way you prefer, the device has a Shaping Points feature also.

- Answer It will recalculate the route for you and tell you how to get back to original route without even touching it.

- Answer Your device does not come preloaded with mapping of Canada, however this mapping can be added to the device with product part number 010-10966-00. -MH

- Answer Any of the Garmin City Navigator® maps will work with this model. We offer City Navigator® Middle East and Northern Africa that includes coverage for the countries of Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and select cities in Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Tunisia, Yemen and Lebanon, specifically. There are two options for adding these maps to this device: Purchase a pre-programmed microSD™/SD™ Card or Purchase downloadable maps to be installed with the Garmin Express program. - Answer While the device does not come preloaded with mapping of South America, this mapping is available as an optional accessory, which can be located with part number 010-11752-00. Mapping such as this which does not come preloaded on a device cannot be updated; a new version must be purchased to obtain updated content. Updates to the preloaded mapping on a device are released several times per year, and are free of charge on an "LM" device (lifetime maps). While it is not necessary for the operation of the device, up-to-date mapping is always helpful in ensuring the best navigation experience. -MH

- Answer It volume can be loud enough, but not yelling. On the hand, the intuitive interface is any but. Recommend a TomTom

- Answer unless you had access to a laptop only way to download content is to download to a pc or laptop then transfer it to the gps unit you can send directly to gps or save it to your pc or laptop then transfer to the gps

QuestionI have the Montana ownership chip in my device but it fails to show me the ownerships. Is there some command that I need to complete to be shown the ownerships? The owner's name shows up about every 3-5 miles and nothing in between.

- Answer No, this model comes pre-programmed with street mapping and is not compatible with any type of TOPO or off-road maps.
