- Answer The car charger works at charging the unit, even when in "standby" mode. One can also connect it to a standard USB port or phone charger, and tell it "no" if it warns it will treat it like a connection to a computer.

- Answer I’m surprised it lasted two weeks. It’s designed to have power while it is being used. The battery is a backup and for very short term use.
