QuestionI see the camera is in the middle of the GPS, so you can only attach it to the windshield? because I think if you have a stand then it will block the camera? hope I get the answer soon, because I am debating if which to buy , the garmin or the randmcnally

- Answer yes, this is the perfect GPS , but the exit number and name you are about to exit is very small. if you have perfect eye sight you should buy this 100% I used it from new Orleans to San Antonio Texas and its very good , but you has to have somebody with magnifying glass to tell you what exit you a supposed to exit. that's why I returned it and stay with my old garmin with 7 inch screen

- Answer I have mine installed only a few inches above the dash on my truck. I did find that the lane departure picks up the solid yellow line well, a solid white line OK, but not a dashed white center line.

- Answer The basic features (Map routing and real time traffic alerts) work without linking to a cell phone. There are additional features that can be used with the cell phone but the basics work for me just fine. No subscription necessary as well.
