  • QuestionWhy would you buy this device when your car has built-in GPS

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Reasons why: 1) This GPS works with Alexa so you can simply ask it for directions and it finds your destination for you. 2) Driving down the road to a destination out of town, it will tell you a number of the upcoming cities/towns, the distance to them, approximate time you will pass them, as well as any rest stops along the way. It updates this information constantly as you are driving down the road making it real nice to know what is coming up. Much better than simply telling you about your destination only. 3) It is very accurate to distance and arrival time. 4) Live traffic data - you know when/where to avoid. 5) Blue tooth to your phone and messages come up right on the display as well as your phone calls. 6) Good instruction and display to exit ramps. 7) Accurate speed limit displayed as well as your speed. Much better GPS than my 15 year old GPS. Love this thing and use it when on the road always. Many times don't need it for directions, but its real nice to know distances to the next town/city and rest area.

  • QuestionWhat is the difference between the Garmin Smartdrive 65 traffic model 010-02038-02 and model 010-02153-00?

    Asked by BigSculpin.

    • Answer Model 010-02153-00 is the Amazon Alexa version. It adds the ability to ask Alexa to do all kinds of things that Alexa does. Use Alexa to create to-do lists, check your calendar, news, weather and traffic, control smart home devices and play interactive games. You can also ask Alexa to play your favorite music from Amazon Music, Pandora, SiriusXM, iHeartRadio and more. While your music is playing, the album artwork appears on the crisp 6.95” edge-to-edge display.

  • QuestionDoes it need to be connected to WiFi? How can you access Alexa while driving?

    Asked by Bp.

    • Answer It does not need WiFi all the time. It pairs with your phone and Alexa account. While driving, just ask..... Hey Alexa and it works like the other devices. There is also a hey Garmin for directions, I like it because I don't have to physically touch it like my old GPS to enter location to go. You can send an address through your phone and the Garmin drive app.

  • QuestionIs the screen easily visible with polarized sun glasses? This is a big issue for me with my phone screen.

    Asked by RozenaE.

    • Answer When using a Garmin product with an LCD display, viewing the screen from a certain angle will cause the display to appear darker than normal when wearing polarized sunglasses or other polarized items. To minimize the impact to display visibility, adjust the viewing angle of the device to allow the best visibility when viewed straight on.

  • QuestionDoes it need a SIM card?

    Asked by SmartTV.

    • Answer No, the device will work out of the box without adding a micro SD card. However as future map updates are released they may have so much new information that it won’t fit on the device's internal memory, at that point a micro SD card can be used to expand the memory.
