QuestionMy old Garmin that I had for years was destroyed, so I cannot transfer my old adresses onto thi new one hat I am getting. Does Garmin have records of all of my old addresses that they could transfer to this new one.

- Answer When you set up the GPS it will automatically add your address. Each unit is a separate unit. I have 2 one in each of my trucks. One is 8 years old and one is 3 months old. They both work great, I have different trips and routes in each of them.

- Answer My husband is hard of hearing and it's difficult to hear over the noise in the RV with air conditioner, etc, anyway. We found the volume control in the settings and turned it up to full volume and he could hear it fine.

- Answer I have not noticed that this Garmin actually updates automatically, However if it is located close enough to a WiFi connection updates will be available for updates, I leave this device in my vehicle which is within range of my home internet system, It does alert me that an update is available.

- Answer NO, the power cord is also an antenna for traffic alerts. Only need you cell phone to get calls and text messages on screen for hands free calling. Other features are available if you download the DriveSmart app to your phone. It comes ready to use but there was a map and firmware update available that I downloaded before using it in car. Updates are free.

QuestionI have bought this GPS. And with the first one I bought. I ended up having a overheating problem which caused unit to not turn back on. I returned it got a second unit and I'm having the same problem it gets warm and when you shut it off it will not power
