“Can this watch send an emergency alert/SOS of any kind when you are not in range of cellular service? And also not in range of any similar devices? I’m thinking of my wife and I hiking/camping in the wilderness and having an emergency.”

The Fenix 6 Pro Solar features incident detection can trigger emergency contacts when it detects a sudden drastic deceleration or impact while recording a timed GPS activity. When such an incident occurs, the Garmin Connect app on your paired smartphone can send an automated text message and email with your name and GPS location to up to three of your emergency contacts. Incident detection and Assistance should not be relied on as a primary method to obtain emergency assistance. The Garmin Connect app does not contact emergency services on your behalf.
