“Back light to see at night? Alarm? Curious if this has a back light so you can see the numbers at night for either just using it as a watch or if you are running at night. Also, does it have an alarm on it?”

The Garmin 220 does have a backlight on it that you can push one of the top buttons to get it to come on, and then it will stay on for a few seconds. It's bright, and the numbers are very clear to see. The watch itself does not have an alarm for time.
