Q: Does this watch have a stopwatch option?
A: The Garmin Forerunner 220 does not have designated stop watch. However if you start an activity it will have the stop watch feature which will show you the duration of time for that specific activity. {CW}
Q: Back light to see at night? Alarm?
A: The Garmin 220 does have a backlight on it that you can push one of the top buttons to get it to come on, and then it will stay on for a few seconds. It's bright, and the numbers are very clear to see. The watch itself does not have an alarm for time.
Q: How do i know when my new Garmin 220 is fully charged? Is there a display on face ?
A: Yes, it has a "battery" on the top that indicates how fully charged that it is. If the battery is completely green then it is full, and as it decreases, the lower the battery. When you attach the charger and watch to a USB, it will tell you the percentage that is left on the battery.
Q: Battery Life
A: The website claims that it can go 6 weeks as a watch and about 8 hours running the GPS, and I have found this to be accurate for the GPS. I haven't gone a full week without running the GPS so not sure about the time for just a watch, however, the time using as a GPS has been between 8-11 hours. It's really a great tool!
