“Did anybody have issues with a dark screen? I just got mine and can barely read it whether indoors or in the sun, and the back light barely does anything at all. The screen doesn’t look anything like the pics. Old forerunner 25 was brighter.”

• I returned mine for that reason. See my recent review. Marketing photos are very deceptive. I’ll stick with my Apple Watch

• Garmin displays are not very good in the dark. They really only accel in very bright sunlight. As for the backlight, you can adjust that in your settings to help quite a bit. It usually ships at about 20 or 30 percent and you can bump it up to 100%.

• I am curious about the Forerunner 45 - but concerned if the display is not bright enough - is it true that the display can be made brighter?
