“Can this unit be charged via a solar panel ? If so what type please.”

• Hello, It could be possible to charger the battery via solar panel. We haven't tested all solar panel but you would need to make sure you have Garmin NiMH Battery Pack(010-11874-00) installed in GPSMAP 64st. • I do not think that's possible. The unit runs on two AA batteries, and even if you use rechargeable batteries I do not think the USB port supports the charging of batteries.
