- Answer Yes, it works without service. But to look back at fitness stats you need service to transfer data from your watch to your phone for viewing.

QuestionI often run without my phone with me. Can this watch run any music app like Spotify? And if not can someone save music on it to play standalone? Not sure not sure if you can play music from its memory but if so, how much memory does this watch have?

With the running activity you can track: Pace, Total steps, Total distance, set laps, monitor heart rates and workout intensity. You can do this with several different except codes ranging to almost anything you can think of and add through the Garmin connect app.

QuestionI spend most of my time outside in all weather. I also do alot of fishing. How water resistant is it? I don’t mind spend the money as long at it will fit my needs.

- Answer You can pick up the call from the watch but it doesn't have a mic or a non beep speaker. You can view text messages and other notifications as well as calendar events.
