• Great question. No, the nüvi 55LM does not have mapping of Canada. It comes preloaded with the Lower 49 States. However, Garmin does manufacture nüvi devices that have Canada mapping. {CW}

• No, this unit comes with preloaded maps for 49 states in the US only.

• For the record the US has 48 lower state not 49. I think garmin should change the information in the areas on all their GPS devices.
