Yes it does. You can download the Garmin Drive app which will connect it to your phone and can provide live traffic, weather, "smart notifications" which can display most notifications from your phone (texts, other messaging apps, calendar events, alarms, and a few more. You can't reply to messages through it, however), hands-free phone calls, and I more detailed info about places if it's available. I have it automatically connect to my phone as soon as it turns on and it's very reliable. It operates on an older version of the Android OS, but it lacks the framework to download anything but Garmin apps.
