• I believe you can choose what system to use on the watch…..under settings.

• Yes, you can set it up for miles. Go into your Garmin Connect account on the web and Account settings to change from KM/Metric to Statute. If you need assistance you can go to support.garmin.com where you'll find many helpful FAQ's and video's on the functions of the device and you can also reach out directly to a product support associate from that link.
