• It can monitor your heart rate with an add-on heart rate monitor. It does not give phone or text notifications.

• The vívofit 3 can monitor your heart rate as long as you are using a compatible heart rate monitor. However, it does not have a built-in heart rate sensor. The vívofit 3 does not support smart notifications. -JPK

• Hi:) No, this doesn't monitor your heart rate on it's own. You can get a heart-rate accessory to plug in and monitor heart rate, but it is not built into the Vivofit 3. (There is another Garmin that does have a built-in HR monitor, if that's important to you, I'd recommend that one) Nor does this give phone/text notifications. HTH
