- Answer The vívosmart has the ability to initiate music playback commands, when paired with a compatible mobile device. The device controls integrate with the default music player on your device (smartphone) and can be used to play, pause, skip and control the volume of audio tracks. Currently, this is not an available feature of the Forerunner watches. Thanks for asking. *CG

- Answer If you can go into the store, try them on! If not, I have a small/regular and I just measured my wrist to be about 7 inches and I'm on the 3rd notch from the end with the band loose enough to move a little but not too much. The notches are pretty close together, so you may be better off with a large knowing the band may be doubled up on the last couple notches. I'd be worried that the small would be too tight.

QuestionDoes it vibrate when you been inactive for too long?Inactive vibration

- Answer It will vibrate after 1 hour of inactivity, and again after 2 hours. After that, it no longer vibrates for inactivity until you move enough to reset it. You have to walk around for about a minute to reset after the first hour, and about 2-3 minutes after the second hour. I does not vibrate in sleep mode, so you don't have to worry about it waking you up in the middle of the night telling you it is time to move.

- Answer Turn on the vivosmart so you can see it light up, then put your finger on the display and hold for a few seconds. Then slide the menu to the double arrow (one pointing up and the other down) and push it. This will then sync your device to your Garmin Connect phone app.

- Answer Yes! It is waterproof. I wear it in the pool and shower with NO problems. You just hit record activity before you swim and then upload to the app and edit it to put in the name of your activity. I love that it's completely waterproof. I don't have to worry about anything and I never take it off.

QuestionDoes the Vivosmart count steps when you are in a car?I have this issue with the Fitbit. It counts steps when you are in a vehicle. You have to keep track of when you are in a car and subtract it from your log.

- Answer No, it does NOT count steps while driving. I commute over an hour to work and it vibrates to tell me to "move!" because I have been sitting too long! lol.

QuestionWhat is the range to get notifications from your iPhone, how far can the phone be away from the band?Hello I am interested in this Garmin because its slim design and you can receive notifications when you are getting a text or phone call. How far away can the iPhone be from the band? Does it have to be in your pocket or can it be in the room that you are in?

- Answer It can be in the room. Wife has it and leaves her phone in the kitchen a lot and gets her messages on her garmin in the office a ways away.

- Answer Yes it can track your run/walk... You just double tap to turn the screen on and long hold on it and a menu list will appear you just hit the icon of the little person running and hit the play/start button and it starts your time for ya.

- Answer That's a great question! Unfortunately, the vívosmart is an activity tracker that also has smart notifications. It displays steps, calories, distance you've run or walked, and the time of day. It also displays texts, emails, and alerts you of calls from a compatible smartphone. It does not have the ability to display maps, nor is it GPS enabled. For a wrist-worn watch with this feature that has a viewable map, as well as running, hiking, and fitness information, you'd want to check out the new "epix" watch. - Answer No, the vívosmart is a limited fitness tool for managing simple activities such as steps taken and can read your heart rate (with a heart rate monitor). Our Forerunner watches have many running features such as laps, running history, and calories burned. There is an alarm that can be set daily if needed. If you want to use it with a heart rate monitor we suggest a Forerunner 15 or higher. ~JH

- Answer Yes, this measures sleep and movement during sleep. You have to remember to hold down on the watch and select the moon when you go to bed. In the morning, press and hold on the watch to get out of sleep mode. If you sync to the app, it shows your movement during your rest and to rate your mood upon waking.

- Answer It comes with a charging cable that plugs into a use adapter. I can't recall if it has an adapter or not since I have so many laying around the house

- Answer Best I can tell it estimates calorie burn based on your BMI (when you enter your height & weight in Garmin Connect) and your activity level. I use mine along with the My Fitness Pal app as well.
