“Do you need to sync with a computer?”

• I sync with my iPhone. Theres an app that works well for the basic sync process. I'm still not clear how to save data for future reference. Either it can't be done, is difficult to do, or the option isn't available. I moved on to other things. It seems like Garmin, at least as far as I can tell, hasn't fine tuned the software.

• You have to download the Garmin Connectivity app to a phone or tablet in order set up the device.

• The vivosmart HR can sync with a computer, but it is not required to use the device. The vivosmart HR does have the ability to sync data wirelessly using Bluetooth, when paired witha compatible smartphone.

• No. It syncs directly to your phone via blue tooth. He has yet to open the app on his phone. He monitors steps, hr and movement right from his wrist. And rhe battery lasts a longtime My 10 yr old uses this and it tracks awesomely. We are super pleased with this purchase.
