“Does this device track your steps when you are pushing a grocery cart? My previous Garmin tells me to move even though I am walking in a grocery store”

• The device uses an accelerometer to track steps. If your arm is not moving back and forth it will not count steps. Debbie with Garmin

• I would say no. I was riding my bike yesterday and it said to Move! So, I don't think if you keep your hand still (like holding a grocery cart) it would count the steps. I could be wrong though.
