Q: QuestionIs there a mute button for controlling the beeping sounds?I read elsewhere there is a mute button for the beeping sounds if you wish to turn them off. However, on your Q&A, you answered a buyer that there were no controls for muting. Could you guide me in the right direction whether this unit has such a feature?

Q: QuestionturntableI had a ge microwave #jes833wy 02 which had a flat glass bottom inside . Do you not make that model anymore or one like it? I hate the turntable. Please let me know I live in Tampa and would love another like mine. It lasted 18 years!!!!! Another question if the turntable is removable can the microwave be used without the turntable? • A:Answer There’s a bumper on the back, top right of unit that keeps it a little away from a wall. So, with the unit pushed back to the wall as far as it allows, which is where it is placed while in use, the distance from the wall to the front edge is 12.75 inches. That’s with the door closed, of course.

• A:Answer Hi Curious - Yes, it can be placed in an open cabinet with recommended air clearances (3" of clearance on both sides and the top; 1" clearance in the rear). The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. If located on the counter near a range, we recommend locating it at least 2 ft. away. Do not place near or over a heat source. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue

Q: QuestionI have a cabinet space that will fit the 12 3/4" depth of this microwave, but only if the feet of the microwave do not exceed 11" depth... can you let me know what the depth is from the front of the feet to the back of the microwave? Thanks!

• A:Answer Hi April - The microwave has Cooking Complete Reminder feature. This is a beep that occurs once every minute after the normal cooking cycle has ended. It is designed to remind you when the cooking time has completed. Begins 1 minute after the "Cooking Complete Signal". This is different from the "Cooking Complete Signal" which is 4 beeps heard only once and directly at the end of the cooking cycle. To terminate 'cooking complete reminder', touch Clear/Off or open the door. Also, this model has Sound On/Off option. Press SOUND pad for mute or normal. Thanks for your interest! Sue
