Questiondoes this microwave have a flat back? or does it have a bump out like the one pictured below? And is the plug flat or will it add to the depth bc the microwave can’t be pushed back against the wall?

- Answer Hi, Thanks for the excellent question! This microwave doesn't have a flat back and the overall depth of this microwave is 14.5". Also, the plug is not flat and depth of this unit with the power cord insert is 16.5". The power cord insert is approximately 2" in length. We hope this information is helpful. QuestionWhat concerns should we have based on the Prop 65 warning on this product?

- Answer Thank you for asking and concern. We comply with all federal, state and international requirements regarding hazardous substances and meet those standards. We also comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws, like California Proposition 65. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning. I can understand your concern; however, we do not provide detailed information about what causes the Prop 65 warning to apply. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

- Answer Hey there, thanks for finding time to reach out to us. Yes, the turntable and turntable support can be removed. You can wash it carefully in warm, sudsy water or in the dishwasher. QuestionThe shelf I would place this on is 10 3/4 inches deep. If I place a piece of wood on the shelf to extend it to 14 1/2 inches, would that work?

- Answer Yes. The front of the front feet (of the microwave) are just under 12" from the back panel. Your added shelf should be secured to the shelf under it and I would suggest that you drill 4 shallow pockets into the added shelf for the microwave feet to slip into in order to ensure the microwave doesnt slide around. The oven is quite light and pushing its door open button can cause it to move around on a surface.
