- Answer To lock unlock the controls. Press and hold button cancel/off for about 3 seconds. When the control panel is locked the display shows "LOC". Repeat to unlock.

- Answer Thank you for asking and GE Appliances has never offered a self cleaning microwave. Most spills and splatters in the microwave clean up easily with a damp, soapy paper towel or sponge. It is best to clean soil as soon as it appears. Consult your Owner's Manual for information about cleaning your microwave. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

QuestionWhat makes this a "sensor cooking" microwave? It has no probe. What does "sensor cooking" mean?

- Answer It senses what the settings should be by what button you press telling it what is in the microwave (dinner plate, reheat, beverage, vegetable, popcorn, potato, pizza, defrost). My guess is it senses how much water vapor is being evaporated off the food to determine if it is cooked.

A fan where the internal components are located will run continuously while the microwave is in operation to constantly circulate the air to cool the working parts. It's normal for the internal fan for the electronics to continue to run for a few seconds after the microwave cycle is complete, even if the door is opened. Questiondo you remove the small square sliverish cardboard piece inside before running?

- Answer Hi there - Great question! The cardboard cover on the right top or side wall of the microwave interior is there by design. The cardboard (mica) covers the waveguide system that feeds microwave energy into the cavity and should not be removed. The microwave should not be used for any function if this cardboard cover is not in place. If removed, it would require service to replace. We're so glad you checked! -Mikayla@GEA

QuestionHow do I start the microwave..when I push time cook and enter 2:00 minutes and then push start it will not start the food icon pops up and nothing happens...the guy at the store said just push time cook and he was totally WRONG!!!

- Answer You have to open the microwave door, close it and press a number, 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, or press time cook and enter the minutes of desired heating time

QuestionI need to replace my old microwave. The table top unit was installed in the wall. The old machine was approximately 23.5 wide by 10.25 height (not including the wall kit). I can’t seemed to find something of comparable size to fit the space. Suggestions?
