• A:Answer Hi - Thank you for your interest in a new GE Appliances over-the-range microwave. All of our models will fit in the same 30" wide opening. We do recommend using the new mounting bracket and hardware that will be packaged with the new unit to ensure the unit has been installed properly. • A:Answer I think it was approximately $140 and worth every penny! Technicians removed old unit, installed new one and cleaned up work area. I could never have gotten new unit from car to my home on my own!

Q: QuestionDoes this unit have control panel lighting? I asked the service rep about this when I bought it and he said the unit was not plugged in and that's why it wasn't lit. The unit was installed yesterday and still no control panel lighting.

Q: QuestionI have to replace my over the range microwave. It is a GE Spacemaker XL1400 installed in 1999. I am concerned about venting. The specs for the model I am considering shows the vent is rear, top. The 1400 shows the vent front and at the top. Options?

• A:Answer Probably a blown fuse inside the unit . You might be able to find youtube video on how to replace the fuse. If that doesn't work then you have a bigger problem. I had an older model similar to this one it also went out i Replace the fuse but it immediately blew.

We first wanted to let you know that all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. We just suggest using the mounting bracket of your new microwave as these are model specific. With that said, we believe the following models would make great replacements: JVM6175BLTS, JVM6175DKBB, and JVM3160DFBB. We're hoping this helps and we're wishing you the best. Q: QuestionLooking to replace ge microwave model number jvm1339ww ,this older microwave has an interior vented fan . I would like to replace it with model number JVM3160dfww and see if this correct model also comes with and interior exhausted fan and filter?

It does require a charcoal filter under parts number WB02X35687, which is included with your microwave. This filter should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
