Q: QuestionReplacing a 18 yr old GE Model: JVM165OBB microwave that came with the house. Will the JVM3160RFSS Fit into the same over the range space? Thanks for your help!

All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. • A:Answer Great question! Microwave models JVM3160DFWW and JVM3160DF1WW are the same model. The extra digit just adds some additional information to the model, much like when you add the area code to your local phone number. These letters/numbers are used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance.
