Q: QuestionJVM 1430WD002 What can we replace this with???
Asked by Sande.
- A:Answer Hi Sande - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Model JVM6175DKWW is a great choice (Dimensions: 16 5/16 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 9/16 D). All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for your existing 30" over-the-range model JVM1430WD002 (Dimensions: 16 13/32 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 1/4 D). Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue

Q: QuestionWhat is the GE Microwave replacement for my GE Model JVM1752DP2BB. I hope to use the same cabinet space and previous mounting brackets if I can.
Asked by Robert707.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Defrost - Black
- A:Answer I am trying to help a friend replace a "well-used" and no longer working GE microwave. The store (purposely unnamed) salesman was very helpful and we found a suitable GE replacement for the old one. We were advised that the installer would require a minimum 30 inch clearance above the stove surface. It looks like there is exactly 29.75 inch clearance. The old unit was installed by a handyman and friend, since deceased, so my friend will need to use/hire someone to install the new unit. Please know, I measured multiple times and continue to get the same answer... need another 0.25" or 1/4". Is this really a problem? Thanks, Ed

Asked by Alicia.
- A:Answer Hi Alicia, In order to search for parts, we would need the complete model number of your unit. You can find that complete model number, and then click on the appropriate model through this link: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/KeywordSearch?q=JVM6175EKES - Also, if you are wanting to replace the cooktop lights on your microwave, you should be able to do so. Q: QuestionHello, our GE Spacemaker xl1800 handle broke and we are going to replace it. In the short video, it states the bottom of the microwave should be 30inches above the range. Is that correct? The one we have now is about 18inches above. Replacement model?
Asked by PbSand.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Defrost - Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Hello PbSand. Thank you for your interest. We are glad to assist. Over-the-range microwaves require a minimum 66" mounting height from the floor to the top on the microwave. The 66" minimum from the floor dimension will allow approximately 14"-16" between the cooktop and the bottom front of the microwave. Although we no longer make your model, we do have a variety of great new models available. We normally do not suggest an exact replacement because all of our 30" Spacemaker over-the-range microwaves are designed to be installed in the same standard upper cabinet space (30" min. width, 12" min.-13" max. depth, 66” min mounting height). The height and depth of the models may vary slightly, but any of our new models will work in your current space. The JVM6175SKSS is a great replacement model. We hope this information is helpful.
